This is a different type of newsletter from my usual posts.
It’s more of an announcement and a promise I wanted to make to you and to myself.
I recently wrote about how my website (FreelancingHacks.com) was affected by Google and how I lost a significant amount of traffic to the website. As a result, I also lost revenue from this site and two other sites I own.
This means I had to make some changes and sacrifices to maintain these websites.
Last week, I moved all my websites to a new, cheaper web hosting platform. Thanks to Hostinger’s cheap hosting plans I was able to secure 4 years' worth of hosting for my sites for a very low price.
Their servers are decent but not as good as the previous web host. It slightly reduced the performance of my websites but at least now I don’t have to worry about generating revenue from websites to cover expenses.
It’s the first step I took to reboot my websites. Starting next month, I plan to be more consistent with publishing more articles on my websites, especially Freelancing Hacks. As well as posting more videos on my YouTube channels.
Ever since my sites were affected by Google algorithm updates, I haven’t been able to publish articles consistently. Mainly because I felt mentally defeated and lost hope of ever recovering from it.
Today, I consider it a blessing. I can now forget about writing for “Google” and focus entirely on writing articles for people and sharing ideas that I genuinely want to write about.
Thank you for reading this. I know it’s not an impressive update to share. But, in a way, I wanted to write this for myself so that I can come back and read this to motivate myself when I’m feeling down.
See you soon with more exciting stuff!

Setbacks like these are so discouraging. But you’re right, the blessing in disguise will bring you to better, brighter places! Keep up the good work—you got this!
